We strive to build a strong sense of community by providing opportunities for social connection, personal growth, and giving back.
The Fort Wood Community Spouses’ Club (FWCSC) is a 501(c)4 nonprofit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to building a stronger, more connected Fort Leonard Wood community. Our mission is to empower and support military spouses and families through inclusive social engagement, charitable giving, and educational opportunities.
We create meaningful connections by offering fun and welcoming events, clubs, and activities that foster friendship, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Through our two annual fundraising efforts—the Holiday Craft Fair and Spring Basket Auction—we raise essential funds to award scholarships and community grants that uplift military families and local nonprofit partners.
With a commitment to kindness, service, and growth, FWCSC strives to be a positive force on post and beyond—bridging generations, supporting one another, and making Fort Leonard Wood feel like home.

At the heart of the Fort Wood Community Spouses' Club is a deep commitment to giving back. Philanthropy is not just something we do — it’s who we are. From hosting annual fundraisers like our Holiday Craft Fair and Basket Auction to awarding grants and scholarships that directly benefit our community, we believe in using our time, talents, and resources to uplift those around us. Every event, every connection, and every dollar raised reflects our mission to support Fort Leonard Wood families and strengthen the communities we call home.
"Life's most persistent and urgent questions is, what are you doing for others?"

Faith-Driven Leader | Community Advocate | Dedicated Professional. FWCSC Honorary Vice President, and at the heart of my world is my family.
Lissette Gutierrez is a dynamic business owner, former athlete, and devoted woman of faith who brings an unparalleled level of dedication, discipline, and heart to every organization she serves. With a professional foundation built on the principles of teamwork and stewardship, Lissette has spent her career bridging the gap between complex community needs and compassionate, effective solutions. Her life’s work is a testament to her belief that service is not just a career choice but a divine calling to uplift those around her.
Lissette’s unique professional perspective is informed by a robust educational background in Social Communication, Criminal Justice, and Psychology. This diverse academic trifecta allows her to navigate the intricacies of human behavior and community dynamics with both analytical precision and deep empathy. Her expertise is further sharpened by extensive specialized training within the military community. Having served in various pivotal roles within the Soldier and Family Readiness Group (SFRG), Lissette has completed the Command Team Spouse Development Program at both the Battalion and Brigade levels. Her commitment to the well-being of others is evidenced by her certifications in CPR and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), tools she uses to provide critical support in moments of crisis.

She views every obstacle as an opportunity for growth and every transition as a chance to build a stronger community. This firsthand understanding of life’s "heavy lifts" allows her to connect deeply with her clients, particularly military families and international individuals navigating their own seasons of change.
Driven by her faith and a desire to make a global impact, Lissette’s mission extends far beyond the boardroom. She is deeply committed to international mission trips, where she focuses on supporting low-income families and providing resources to those in underserved regions. Whether she is closing a business deal or serving on the mission field, her approach remains the same: deliver exceptional service rooted in empathy, integrity, and understanding.
At the heart of Lissette’s world is her family. She draws her greatest inspiration from her parents, her husband, Ronis, and their two daughters, Jasseli and Rosseli. I am a proud Army spouse, and it is my second year being a part of the Fort Leonard community. I really enjoy painting in my free time.
I am currently our club's VP and Ways and Means Chair. I have been involved in our craft fair & basket auction this year. I have been active in multiple of our sub-clubs and attended many of our mixers this year.
I care deeply about everyone having a space in our club and in our community. I want everyone to gain friendships and make amazing memories while they are a part of FWCSC. Let's do that while we support our local community by organizing our fundraisers for grants and scholarships. I am dedicated to helping our club grow and make it a fabulous year for all our members to enjoy.
If I’m elected as your 1st Vice President, I hope to keep our club a friendly, welcoming place for all our current and future members to enjoy!

The mission of the club is one I truly believe in. I also love golf. I was on our competitive team in high school
In 2017, I joined our SFRG team and
led the SFRG from 2018 to 2019 at
Fort Leonard Wood, MO. This allowed me to meet and get to know many spouses and help develop them as future leaders in our battalion and company. And I again served as our SFRG leader in 2021-2022 while my husband was serving as commander of the 92nd MP Company. From 2020 to the present, I have served our PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) in many different capacities, including study facilitator, Publicity chair, 1st VP of Spiritual Life, and Retreats chair. I have also had the pleasure of serving on our Spouses' club boards from 2024 to the present in two different roles. I am also a founding board member for Plus One Heroes non-profit since June 2025
I look at leadership as a partnership with other spouses' and organizations that can help develop others for leadership, grow my own leadership capabilities, and foster healthy growth for our community. I feel this partnership with others on the board and our general members will strengthen our club as a whole. I have great organizational skills and attention to detail while allowing for others to shine in their roles and give their own insight on the organization. The mission of the club is one I truly believe in and I would be honored to be a part of the club's success in the mission of connection in our military community and helping our community both on and off post through our scholarship and grant awards.
