This scholarship application is for Spouses and Dependents. (NOT HS Seniors)

The applicant must earnestly plan to seek a bachelor’s, associate, or similar degree/diploma from an accredited college, university or vocational technical school. This scholarship is for the applicant who will enroll as a full or part-time student in the Fall of 2026.

Take time to read the letter below from the FWCSC Grants & Scholarship Committee and gather and review all your information needed before you start your application. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be accepted/evaluated by the committee.

All information MUST be received no later than March 15, 2026 by 11:59 PM CST.

What You Need to Qualify for this Scholarship

You MUST meet one of the follwoing qualifications

below to apply for this scholarship:

2.5 GPA or better
Be a legal dependent family member OR Spouse of Armed Forces personnel (active duty, Reserves, National Guard, retired US military, surviving spouse, or DoD civilians working at or affiliated with Ft. Leonard Wood.
Be a spouse/dependent applying to, accepted in and/or working toward an associate and/or undergraduate degree or certificate program from an accredited institution.

This scholarship is open to adult spouses and legal dependent family members of Armed Forces personnel (active duty, Reserves, National Guard, retired US military, surviving spouse, or DoD civilians working at or affiliated with FLW) who plan to enroll part-time or full-time in an accredited college, university, or technical/trade program in Fall 2026.

Who is eligible to apply for FWCSC scholarships?

Scholarships are open to the families of active duty, National Guard, Reserve, and retired service members, as well as Department of Defense civilians stationed at, assigned to, or living near Fort Leonard Wood.

When are applications due?

All scholarship and grant applications must be submitted no later than March 15, 2026, by 11:59 PM CST. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.

Are scholarships need-based or merit-based?

FWCSC scholarships consider a combination of factors, which may include academic performance, community involvement, leadership, financial need, and personal goals.

Do applicants need to be full-time students?

No. Applicants may be enrolled part-time at an accredited school.

Can previous scholarship recipients apply again?

Yes! As long as they continue to meet eligibility requirements, past recipients may reapply.
