Appying for a Community Grant Starts Here

Step 1: Read Welcome Letter & Instructions

Take a moment to read the welcome letter from the FWCSC Grants & Scholarship Committee and the information on what is required when applying for a grant. 


FWCSC maintains a fair, impartial review process for all applicants. Grants are awarded to support efforts that are aligned with our promary focus areas of youth development and eduation, military family wellness and belonging, community enrichment and inclusion, volunteerism and service, and support for vunerable populations.

Step 2: Download and Complete the Grant Budget Template

You must download and complete the 2026 FWCSC Community Grant Budget Template. You will upload the completed document with your application. Take your time and think through your project from start to finish.  Judges use this sheet to understand what you plan to use the grant for and why.

Step 3: Fill Out the FWCSC Grant Application

All grant applications must be filled out online with all required supporting documents uploaded before the deadline on March 15t, 2026 by 11:59 PM.  Please make sure to fill out each section with as much detail as possible. Consideration for funding is based solely on the content provided in this application.

Grants: Frequently Asked Questions

Community grants are available to schools, nonprofits, and organizations located within Pulaski County and surrounding counties that serve the Fort Leonard Wood region. 


All scholarship and grant applications must be submitted no later than March 15, 2026, by 11:59 PM CST.  Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed. 


 Grants support initiatives that enhance the quality of life in our region, including:

  • Educational programs
     
  • Youth services
     
  • Community enrichment
     
  • Support for military families
     
  • Local outreach initiatives


 Grant amounts vary based on available funds and applicant need. Organizations may request an amount that best fits their project, though funding is not guaranteed. 


Organizations may submit more than one request only if each project is distinct. Duplicate requests will not be considered. 


No. Schools, military-affiliated groups, and community organizations may apply, as long as they serve residents within Pulaski and surrounding counties. 


Yes. Grant recipients may be asked to provide follow-up reporting, photos, or documentation of project impact. These materials help FWCSC demonstrate community benefit to our members and donors. 


A volunteer committee reviews all completed applications and evaluates them based on:

  • Eligibility
     
  • Completeness
     
  • Community impact
     
  • Alignment with FWCSC’s mission
     
  • Demonstrated need


Grant awards are typically announced in late spring, after all applications have been reviewed.
